CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR SISAL FURNITURE

Regular maintenance is a worthwhile exercise as the product life span can be extended considerably with proper care.
  1. Decor Interiors Ltd can undertake maintenance contracts, if the Client requires this, for products supplied locally or regionally.
  2. Since our Sisal Collection requires minimal maintenance, we can also train House Keeping Staff to care for the products quickly and efficiently.
  3. Pretest any diluted mild liquid soap (3 parts water and 1 part liquid soap) in an inconspicuous area.
  4. Monthly or bi-monthly brushing with a feather brush will help reduce any accumulation of dust.
  5. Gently remove stains and spills with a feather brush or a soft slightly damp cloth depending on nature of stain. Use sponging action rather than rubbing which is abrasive. Mild liquid soap can be used.
  6. It’s important to control the amount of moisture in the cleaning process. Do not saturate with moisture.
  7. Avoid bleach products or products containing bleach as they will damage the stain on the sisal.
  8. If there are dry stains on the Sisal, they can be gently loosened with a soft slightly damp cloth and brushed softly to remove loosed particles
